Group: gtk bug #137551
Submitted By: Carl Russmann (crussmann)
Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody)
Summary: Chat window has no cursor for text entry (Windows only)
When typing a message in the chat window, there is no
vertical bar indicating where text being typed is going
to appear. Text appears as expected, but if you move
the invisible cursor by clicking the mouse or with the
arrow keys, you are basically working blind. A cursor
appears as expected for other text-entry widgets, such
as the Accounts dialog for adding new accounts; this
problems seems to only affect the Chat window.
Chat window has a cursor for text entry.
Affected Operating Systems:
observed on Windows 2000 and Windows XP

Some more testing on this: The cursor is only gone when you
originate the conversation by double-clicking a contact's
name in the contact list. If someone sends you a message,
the chat window that pops up has a working cursor.
